The word Bari comes from the root letters bā rā hamza (ب ر أ) and it has the following classical Arabic connotations:
– to create, to form out of nothing,
– to manifest, to create using pre-existing matter, evolve,
– to be individual, free and clear of another thing and,
– to be free and clear of fault or blemish
From these meanings we can conclude that Al-Bari is the One Who creates form out of nothing. He is the One Who creates with no model or similarity. He is the One Who evolves and re-creates that which exists, both physically and spiritually. He is the One Who sends new forms into existence. He is the One Who manifests that which is in perfect harmony and proportion, without blemish or fault.
The first thing to do is to prepare a mold for the glass. You cannot produce a glass if you do not have a mold. Then, if you want to produce 50 glasses with different shapes, you need 50 molds. That is a master and molds are necessary to produce a simple thing. That thing cannot be produced without a master and mold.
1- To draw the plan of that flower and fly and to make a program,
2- To collect the atoms and materials that form the flower and the fly from all over this realm,
3- After sieving the collected atoms and materials, to determine with precise criteria and pick the ones that are necessary for the flower and the fly,
4- To cast those materials in mold and produce them in a proper, orderly and beautiful way.
When we spread rose seeds on the ground, the ground needs to be able to do the following in order to ‘create s rose’: to plan and program the rose, to collect the materials necessary for the rose from the realm, to be able to determine the materials necessary with precision scales and to cast them in a mold. A rose emerges after these tasks are done.
Let us leave the first 3 things aside and think about the mold: Since the ground produces different plants out of thousands of different seeds, it is necessary to accept that the ground has as many molds as the number of the plants in the world. Furthermore, the leaves, fruits, flowers and shapes of each plant are different; therefore, it is necessary to accept that the ground has as many molds as the number of leaves, fruits and flowers along with plants. To accept it is such a thought that it contains as many impossibilities and superstitions as the number of the plants, flowers and fruits in the world.
Can one really believe there are as many number of molds as the number of beings?
No. Such a thought is nothing but an exaggeration of made-up theories. This is the artistic work of Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala – Al-Bari.
Look at an apple, a butterfly, a flower, a human being and its various organs, everything is created in a proper and orderly way, in harmony with the mechanism of this world. Al-Bari knows which fruit will grow best in what climate and whether on a vine or a tree. Al-Bari knows what should be the size of our limbs.
Look at your tongue. It is in harmony with your mouth. If it was any longer, it would not fit into your mouth. If it was any shorter, you wouldn’t be able to eat or talk properly. Life would have been difficult for you. The harmony between the tongue and the mouth is the work of Al-Bari. Now look at your teeth, your eyebrows, your eyelashes, each is of the proper size and in harmony with your structure.
When you look at a tree, you may think that the leaves are placed randomly. However, it is not so. Every leaf that is placed on the branch is placed in such a way to prevent the sunlight of the other leaves the least.
When we realize this we need to praise and glorify Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala – Al-Bari for His error free works.
Living by Allah’s Name: Al-Bari
Praise Him. When you look at your fingers, your arms, your eyes, or the creation around you praise Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala for how He has created everything in compliance and in harmony with the system around it. This also means never ridiculing other for their features, size and structure. Al-Bari created them and you.
Worship Him Alone. When Al-Bari is the Maker and the Producer then it means everything else is a product of something. When everything else is a creation then why submit to them or seek help through them? Worship and seek Al-Bari alone. We claim this in every prayer: It is You alone we worship and You alone we ask for help. [al-Fatihah : 5]
Introduce Him. Introduce Al-Bari to those who don’t know Him; those who completely refute Him and those who worship others besides Him. Use Ayah 73 of Surah al-Hajj as the icebreaker:
“O people, an example is presented, so listen to it. Indeed, those you invoke besides Allah will never create [as much as] a fly, even if they gathered together for that purpose. And if the fly should steal away from them a [tiny] thing, they could not recover it from him. Weak are the pursuer and pursued.”
Ponder Over His Creation. Don’t just wake up in the morning and get on with your life. Listen to the chirping of the birds that begin praising and glorifying Him as soon as it’s time for Fajr. Look at the morning sun coming each day at a time decreed by Allah. Look at the bees, insects, winds and rain, each working according to what Al-Bari has decided for them.
O Al-Bari’, make us confident in our belief in You as the Originator of everything and make us worship You alone; guide us to obey You, help us ponder over Your creation and appreciate Your power and greatness, and make us of those who carry the da’wah of Your Oneness to others in the best way, aameen.
