The Rizq for Children…

Whenever we think of rizq (provision) for children, we often think of monetary provision. We all know that rizq for children can come in many forms. It is not limited to just being born to wealthy families, living in big houses or luxury holidays.

For example, a mother decides to give up her full-time career to look after her children, you think that the rizq for the children becomes lesser because the family is surviving on a smaller income. But the children get other provision. They get the rizq of the mother’s attention and affection. Everything Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala gives to parents is rizq for the children. We parents are only the medium of transfer.

If Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala gives us good health, it is the children’s rizq so we can take care of them better.

If Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala gives us intelligence and wisdom, it is the children’s rizq so we can guide them.

If Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala gives us extra time, it is also the children’s rizq so we can spend time with them.

If Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala gives us only one child, that is the child’s rizq to be the centre of the parents’ love and attention.

If Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala gives us many children, that is the children’s rizq to have siblings as lifelong friends.

If Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala gives us good friends with children like ours, that is the children’s rizq to have playdates and friendship.

If Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala shows us people who are learned, that is the children’s rizq to learn from them.

Some children are blessed with good looks, intelligence, loving grandparents, lovely relatives, and more. This is a form of rizq we often miss out appreciating.

Let’s look at children’s rizq beyond just the money we can earn for them.
